Privacy and storage
Know where
your content lives.
The tools store content in different ways. Here is a simple overview of this version of Charge Life Box.
The homepage and presentation pages
The CLB homepage, A-Life presentation, About and Tools pages have no login, advertising services or third-party analytics. The hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs for operation and security.
A-Link, A-Box and the text editor
Content is stored locally in the browser on your device. These tools do not send it to the CLB server. Export creates a file for you to keep. Clearing browser data may remove locally stored content.
A-Link and KIJOBE can cache app resources in your browser for offline use. This version of A-Box needs an internet connection to open the page, but stores notes locally. Opening a link in A-Link visits that external service, which has its own terms.
Positive Friend
The course keeps its own account, progress and storage model. Read Positive Friend's privacy notice, cookie information and the course terms. For course support, see the help page.
A-Life and future connections
The A-Life page previews an upcoming product. The example uses no real user data and does not read content from your tools. When connections become available, you will choose which services and content to include.
Fun
ByteMan loads from our shared World of Bits service at kijobe.com. The game itself runs in your browser, with no account, saved player profile or server scoreboard. The service may keep normal server logs and uses a short-lived, pseudonymous counter to limit abuse of the embed service.
